What the system looks like where you live
Every install is the same system wired the same way, mounted once and controlled from an app, in whatever color or preset you want that night. What changes is the roofline it goes on.
Nashville
Nashville's rooflines run the full range, from craftsman bungalows in the older neighborhoods to long ranches and two-story new construction toward the edge of the county. The system follows whatever roofline is already there, gable to garage, so the house still looks like itself in daylight. More on permanent lighting in Nashville, from the channel under the eave to the app that runs it. Looking specifically for permanent Christmas lights in Nashville? Same system, holiday colors on demand. For lights drives across town, see the Nashville Christmas lights neighborhoods guide for 2026. More on permanent lighting in Hermitage, from the neighborhoods near Andrew Jackson's home to the December parade. Up at Hadley's Bend of the Cumberland, Old Hickory began in 1918 as a DuPont village, and its 1930s post office and library still stand. More on permanent lighting in Old Hickory. Bellevue is an unincorporated community of Metro Nashville and the northern trailhead of the Natchez Trace Parkway. More on permanent lighting in Bellevue. Sylvan Park is a largely residential neighborhood west of downtown, with Charlotte Avenue on its north side. More on permanent lighting in Sylvan Park. More on permanent lighting in West Meade and Hillwood. 12 South runs along 12th Avenue South between Wedgewood Avenue and Gale Lane, with Victorian, Bungalow and Tudor Revival houses. More on permanent lighting in 12 South. Hillsboro Village is a former streetcar suburb along Hillsboro Road, with houses built from 1910 to 1940. More on permanent lighting in Hillsboro Village. Lockeland Springs is a streetcar suburb about two miles northeast of downtown Nashville. More on permanent lighting in Lockeland Springs.
Brentwood
Brentwood sits in Williamson County just south of Nashville, mostly larger lots set back from the road. A house like that reads best when the whole roofline lights evenly from the street, not just the porch or the peak over the garage. More on permanent lighting in Brentwood, from long setbacks to the library tree lighting. Two dated guides cover the season: Brentwood holiday lights 2026 for the tree lighting and luminaries, and Brentwood Christmas lights by neighborhood for the drive. More on permanent lighting in Nolensville, from the 1797 town to its Veterans Day and Christmas parades. Tree lighting and parade dates are in the Nolensville holiday lights guide.
Franklin
Franklin, the Williamson County seat, mixes a walkable historic downtown with newer subdivisions built around farmhouse and craftsman styles. Stone, brick or board and batten, the track tucks under the eave the same way on all of them, so by day the house just looks like the house. Across Williamson County, PLS brings permanent lighting to Leiper's Fork, Fairview, Franklin and its Westhaven neighborhood, Brentwood, Nolensville, Arrington, College Grove, Thompson's Station and Spring Hill. Planning around Dickens of a Christmas? See how the festival fits a lighting timeline. More on permanent lighting in Franklin, house by house and date by date. Hendersonville
Hendersonville sits northeast of Nashville in Sumner County, along Old Hickory Lake. A lot of its homes are two-story brick or siding with long, straight rooflines, well suited to one continuous run of light rather than a few scattered fixtures. More on permanent lighting in Hendersonville, lake rooflines and the parade weekend. The boat parade and the Christmas parade are both in the Hendersonville holiday lights guide for 2026. More on permanent lighting in Goodlettsville, the city split between Sumner and Davidson counties, and its tree lighting weekend.
Mt. Juliet
Mt. Juliet sits east of Nashville in Wilson County, between Old Hickory Lake to the north and Percy Priest Lake to the south, which is why it calls itself the City Between The Lakes. The track goes under the eave of each house the same way, warm white most nights and a color for the holidays. Permanent Christmas lights in Mount Juliet are the same system: red and green on the roofline in December, set from the app, and warm white or any color the rest of the year. More on permanent lighting in Mt. Juliet, from the houses between the lakes to the December parade. Parade details are in the Mt. Juliet holiday lights guide for 2026. More on permanent lighting in Lebanon, the Wilson County seat, and its parade and Christmas on the Square.
Gallatin
Up in Sumner County, northeast of Nashville, Gallatin is the county seat. The system is fitted into a low-profile track under the eave, so on whatever style of house, the roofline carries one clean line of light. More on permanent lighting in Gallatin, from the county seat's history to its confirmed holiday dates.
Murfreesboro
Southeast of Nashville, Murfreesboro is the Rutherford County seat and was the state capital from 1818 to 1826. Its houses run from the streets around the 1859 courthouse on the Public Square to neighborhoods built as the city grew from about 45,000 people in 1990 to more than 150,000 in 2020, and the channel comes in three profiles to follow whichever eave a house has. More on permanent lighting in Murfreesboro, from the courthouse tree lighting to the second-Sunday parade. The Murfreesboro holiday lights guide lists the Courthouse tree lighting and the 2026 parade. Between Murfreesboro and Nashville, Smyrna keeps the Sam Davis Home, 168 acres in the middle of town. More on permanent lighting in Smyrna.
Fairview
In western Williamson County, Fairview incorporated in 1959 and runs Bowie Nature Park, 722 acres of trail, wetland and forest. Whatever the lot, the track tucks under the eave and the roofline lights end to end. More on permanent lighting in Fairview.

Permanent lighting in west and south Nashville
Green Hills, Belle Meade, Forest Hills and Oak Hill sit close together on the west and south side of Nashville. Green Hills is part of the city. The other three are small cities of their own inside Davidson County. Same system, same installers, four different rooflines.
Green Hills
Green Hills is a Nashville neighborhood along Hillsboro Pike, south of downtown. It grew up as brick-veneer ranch houses on large lots, with a good deal of infill since. A long, low ranch roofline suits one continuous run of track better than a few fixtures. Metro Nashville's lighting section is on our exterior lighting rules page. More on permanent lighting in Green Hills. For the Lipscomb tree lighting and drives nearby, see the Green Hills holiday lights guide.
Belle Meade
Belle Meade is a city of about 2,900 people on the west side of Nashville, incorporated in 1938, and Belle Meade Boulevard runs through it to the entrance of Percy Warner Park. The city's Society of Ceres, created in 1983, exists to renew and maintain its plantings, so the trees matter here. The track sits under the eave and follows the roofline, and the house reads clearly through the trees without competing with them. More on permanent lighting in Belle Meade. The parade and the rest of the season are in the Belle Meade Christmas 2026 guide.
Forest Hills
Forest Hills has about 5,000 residents on steep, wooded hills, and most homes sit on one to two acres. More on permanent lighting in Forest Hills. Cheekwood and other nearby dates: see the Forest Hills holiday lights guide.
Oak Hill
Oak Hill, incorporated in 1952, is home to the Tennessee Governor's Residence, a Georgian house finished in 1931. Each year the governor and first lady open it to the public decorated for Christmas. New homes came to Oak Hill after World War II, and the track goes under the eave of each one the same way: warm white most nights, a color for the holidays. Oak Hill's lighting section is on our exterior lighting rules page. More on permanent lighting in Oak Hill. Hiring help for the season: how to hire a holiday lighting pro in Oak Hill and Green Hills.
