What happens to what you send us
The form asks for five things: your name, a phone number, an email address, the city or neighborhood you live in, and a short note about what you want lit. The details you submit are shared with the licensed, insured installer who will carry out your work.
The rest of this page is the part nobody writes down. What else gets recorded when you submit, what Google's analytics sees while you read, and how to ask us to delete any of it.

Five fields, and two things you never type
Submitting the form sends seven pieces of information, not five. The two extra ones are how the endpoint tells a person from a script, and they are recorded with the rest of it.

- The address your connection arrives from. It caps submissions at four per ten minutes from one connection, which is how the form survives a bot flood.

- The line your browser announces itself with: its name, version and platform.
There is one more input in that form. It is hidden, your browser leaves it empty, and it is there to catch scripts that fill in everything they find. If it comes back filled we record that it was, and we send nothing. Password managers do occasionally fill fields nobody can see, so the record is kept rather than thrown away, in case a real person ever trips it.

You submit
The five fields leave your browser over an encrypted connection to this site's own endpoint. No account, no password, nothing kept in your browser to make it work.
It is recorded before anything else
The request is written to our hosting platform's runtime log as one line, ahead of every other step. That line holds the five fields, whether the hidden field was filled, your IP address and your user agent. It exists so a mail failure can never quietly swallow a request.
It reaches us by email
The five fields are emailed to the inbox that takes requests from this site. Your IP address and user agent are not in that email.
It is shared with the installer
The details you submit are shared with the licensed, insured installer who will carry out your work. They get in touch with you directly.

No advertising network, no data broker, no mailing list anyone can buy into. One inbox and the installer doing your work, and nobody else. If your street turns out to be outside the area we cover, the honest outcome is that nothing goes any further, and you hear that back.
Two cookies, and one request that leaves
This site runs Google Analytics 4. There is no advertising pixel, no session recording, no heat map, and no social widget with a tracker folded into it. The site sets no cookie of its own; the two below belong to Google.
_ga- Google Analytics sets it. It holds a randomly generated identifier for the browser, so that coming back tomorrow does not count you as a second person.
_ga_<measurement ID>- The other half of the pair, named after this site's measurement ID. It holds the state of the current session, which is how one page view knows it belongs to the visit before it.
- What Google receives
- Your IP address travels with the measurement request, the same way it travels with every request a browser makes. We do not see it in any report, and nothing has been configured on top of what Google does with it by default.
- What we use it for
- Which pages get read, which get abandoned, and which ones lead to somebody filling in the form. That is the whole use.
- Turning it off
- Block cookies for this site, or use any of the usual content blockers, and it stops. Nothing here depends on it: the pages render, the form sends, nothing is held back.
- Where it runs
- Only on permanent-lighting.solutions. Preview builds and local copies of this site load no analytics at all, so our own testing never lands in the numbers.
How to ask us to delete it
Use the same form you would use to ask for a quote, and write what you want in the note: a copy of what we hold, a fix to something wrong in it, or the lot deleted. It reaches a person either way.
The form asks for a phone number because it was built to book lighting work. If you are writing about your data and would rather not be called, say so in the note and the answer comes back by email.
Two limits worth knowing before you ask. Our hosting platform's log is not a store we can query or edit, so that line is not something we can reach into. And once your details have reached the installer doing your work, they hold their own copy, which we do not control. Tell us and we will take the request to them.
