This guide sorts Nashville's 2026 Christmas lights by neighborhood, starting on the west and south side of town in Belle Meade, Forest Hills, Green Hills and Brentwood. The neighborhood picks come from a local guide published last December, linked where each one is named, so treat them as a starting point: displays change from year to year. Ticketed shows, tree lightings and parades across the region are on the Nashville-area holiday lights calendar.
Belle Meade: decorated homes and a Saturday parade
City Cast Nashville's neighborhood Christmas lights guide, posted December 10, 2025, puts Belle Meade on its list and notes that many homes there are decorated. The City of Belle Meade holds its Holiday Parade on the afternoon of Saturday, December 5, 2026, with a 1:00 pm start, so a daytime parade and an evening drive fit into one visit.
The Belle Meade Christmas 2026 guide has the rest of the city's season. For lighting a Belle Meade home of your own, see permanent lighting in Belle Meade.
Forest Hills: wooded hills beside Belle Meade
City Cast's list does not name Forest Hills. The city is mostly steep wooded hills, with Belle Meade on its western edge, so two of the guide's picks are close by: Belle Meade to the west and Brentwood's subdivisions to the south.
The big light show nearby is Cheekwood's Holiday LIGHTS, with evening hours between November 20, 2026 and January 3, 2027. The Forest Hills holiday lights guide lists the other dates around it. Planning a roofline of your own? Start with permanent lighting in Forest Hills.
Green Hills: a campus tree and a short drive west
Green Hills sits on Hillsboro Pike with Belle Meade to the west and Oak Hill to the east. City Cast does not list it, so the nearest of its picks is Belle Meade, to the west.
At Lipscomb University, Lighting of the Green pairs a free concert with the lighting of the campus green. The 2025 edition was the 21st, and the 2026 date had not been posted when this guide went up. Read the Green Hills holiday lights guide for the season's other dates, or permanent lighting in Green Hills for your own house.
Brentwood: three subdivisions and one luminaries night
City Cast's guide sends Brentwood drivers to Princeton Hills, Fountainhead and McGavock Farms, and says practically every home there is decorated. On Saturday, December 12, 2026, the city's Neighborhood Luminaries night runs from dusk until 9 pm, with each neighborhood setting out its own display.
Both are covered in the Brentwood Christmas lights neighborhoods guide, and the city tree lighting is in the Brentwood holiday lights guide. For a Brentwood roofline, see permanent lighting in Brentwood.
East Nashville and Old Hickory Village
On the east side, City Cast points to Lockeland Springs, which has held a holiday lights competition, along with the East End and Historic Edgefield neighborhoods. Farther east, it adds Old Hickory Village. For houses in either, see permanent lighting in Lockeland Springs and permanent lighting in Old Hickory. The Lockeland Springs holiday lights guide lists the neighborhood's 2026 tree lighting and holiday trolley dates.
Westhaven in Franklin
City Cast's guide also sends drivers to Westhaven in Franklin for its decorated homes and community Christmas tree, and suggests coming early for the lake trail or the shops. The Franklin holiday lights guide covers the city's tree lighting, parade and Dickens weekend. For Westhaven homes, see permanent lighting in Westhaven. The Westhaven holiday lights guide has the lake market and the Santa Paddle.
Bellevue and Gallatin
In Bellevue, the guide names the Avondale and Rolling River neighborhoods. In Sumner County, it says Fairway Farms in Gallatin often goes all out with decorations. Read more on permanent lighting in Bellevue and permanent lighting in Gallatin. The Gallatin holiday lights guide covers the downtown parade and the market on the Square.
Lighting your own roofline
Our installers put permanent LED lights in a slim track under the eave, set to red and green for Christmas from an app and to other colors the rest of the year. At 6 to 12 hours a day, the system works out to about 10 to 20 years. More on permanent Christmas lights in Nashville.
A typical install runs 8 to 10 hours with licensed, insured and certified installers on the job, and each one gets the manufacturer's 5-year product warranty and our installers' workmanship warranty. To see your own house lit, request a free estimate online, and an installer will follow up.
