Permanent Lighting in Lebanon, TN

The company behind permanent LED roofline lighting in Lebanon, the Wilson County seat locals call Cedar City, is Permanent Lighting Solutions, whose track reads by day as a thin strip under the eave.

Lebanon is the Wilson County seat, about 25 miles east of Nashville. Our permanent, app-controlled LED roofline lighting is fitted there by licensed, insured and certified installers, in a low-profile track under the eave. You set it from your phone, in warm white for an ordinary evening or a holiday color if you want one.

Roofline lighting for Lebanon houses

Lebanon is built around its Historic Public Square, the heart of downtown. The city was incorporated in 1801 and named for the biblical cedars of Lebanon, and locals call it Cedar City. The 2020 census counted 38,431 people.

The house can be old or new, and the track is fitted to whatever roofline is already there. The lit run takes in each gable and corner, one end to the other. By day the track shrinks to a thin strip beneath the eave, which you have to look for. Browse more finished rooflines in the gallery.

Lebanon's 2026 lights, parade and Square

Each of these Lebanon dates is confirmed for 2026 by the organizer behind it.

  • The Dancing Lights of Christmas, a drive-through light and music show at the Wilson County Fairgrounds (James E. Ward Agricultural Center, 1033 Sparta Pike), runs November 7, 2026 to January 3, 2027. It is open Sunday to Thursday from 5 to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 pm.

  • Lebanon's Christmas Parade is Sunday, December 6, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce says more information is coming, so we show no route.

  • Christmas on the Square is Saturday, December 12, from 10 am to 4 pm on Lebanon's Historic Public Square. The City of Lebanon, Downtown Merchants and the Chamber's Special Events Division host it, and the Chamber describes local vendors, food trucks, children's activities, a tree decorating contest and an outdoor dance floor.

For anything outside Lebanon, see our 2026 holiday lights calendar.

Show hours, the Sunday parade and the Square festival are laid out together in the Lebanon holiday lights guide.

Planning an install around December

The parade and Christmas on the Square are a week apart, so the first two weekends of December are the ones to plan around. A roofline lit by Friday, December 4 is ready for the parade and for the Square, and one lit by Friday, December 11 is at least ready for the Square.

Installs are scheduled around your property and the weather, and the calendar does not set the day. Tell the installers the date you want to hit and they work back from it with you. A few weeks of head start covers a stretch of rain.

The December setting

Cedar City Christmas lights, kept up all year

A permanent Christmas setup in Lebanon is the roofline lights you keep up all year, switched to a December scene for the season. The holidays and their colors are already in the controller, and any single zone can be set by hand on your phone for a different look. Red and green is a choice on your phone, and one sunset schedule can run the whole season. In November nothing is hung, and in January nothing comes down.

That comparison has its own page for anyone deciding between permanent lights and hanging them each winter.

Past the main roof

Lighting a Cedar City porch and patio

Lighting can also go past the main roof. A porch, a covered patio and any detached garage have roof edges too, and the channel can follow each one to a single controller.

Zones do the work there. One zone can hold the porch in warm white while another carries a color across the gables, and the back of the house can be left dark with the front lit. Zone placement is decided when the system is laid out.

Off in daylight, the lights clear the face of the house. Along the fascia or under the soffit is where the channel mounts, and no fastener passes through the gutter or the roof surface. There is a close look at it on the system page. Coverage and upkeep are on the care page, and the pricing page lays out where a system starts and what changes it on a real house.

After the parade

The same lights the rest of the year

The Chamber's Special Events Division also coordinates Halloween on the Square and the opening and closing parades at the Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair. All of it is the same lights: orange for Halloween, the Fourth in red, white and blue, game day in your team's colors, and warm white for the nights in between. Easter, St Patrick's, Valentine's, New Year's, Hanukkah and Thanksgiving each use the same channel on a different setting, and Christmas coming down still leaves permanent holiday lighting somewhere to go.

Your phone changes it in a few seconds. Save a schedule on install day and the controller holds it every night after. You buy nothing new and hang nothing. To see the options first, look through some presets, and read about app control on its own page.
