Brentwood Christmas Lights 2026: The Neighborhoods to Drive and When to Go

Brentwood is a city of subdivisions, and its holiday lights are best seen one neighborhood at a time. This guide covers the subdivisions that local guides point to, the one December night when whole neighborhoods light up together, and how to time a drive. For the city's tree lighting and other 2026 dates, see the Brentwood holiday lights guide.

Three subdivisions that made last year's lists

When City Cast Nashville put together its neighborhood lights guide in December 2025, it picked three Brentwood subdivisions: Princeton Hills, Fountainhead and McGavock Farms. In its words, practically every home in them is decorated. That is the kind of street worth a slow pass, because the effect comes from house after house lit in a row, not from one big yard.

Displays change from year to year. Start with these three, then follow whatever looks bright from the main road.

Neighborhood Luminaries night, Saturday, December 12

One night a year, Brentwood's subdivisions light up at the same time. The city sets Neighborhood Luminaries for the second Saturday of December, which in 2026 is December 12, from dusk until 9 pm. Each neighborhood plans its own display, and the city suggests glow sticks or flameless candles.

Luminaries line the curb and the walk, low to the ground. Lit rooflines above them add a second line of light, so on the right street you see both at once.

Why whole streets light up in Brentwood

A lights drive in Brentwood is about what you can see from the street. A single lit roofline reads from a long way off. When the houses on both sides of a street do the same, the whole block reads as one display.

That is why the subdivision drives work so well. The roofline is the part of the house the street sees first, and on a curving subdivision road, each turn brings the next row of lit eaves into view.

When to go

  • Luminaries night: Saturday, December 12, from dusk until 9 pm, is the one night to see luminaries and roofline lights together. Go early, since the candles and glow sticks are set out only for that evening.
  • The tree lighting week: the city lights its tree on Monday, December 7. The Brentwood holiday lights guide has the time and place. Stay out afterward for a drive through Princeton Hills or Fountainhead.
  • Weeknights in mid December: most displays are up by then, and the streets are calmer than on a Saturday.
  • Pair it with Franklin: FrankTown Festival of Lights runs every night from November 20 through December 31, 5 to 9 pm, at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center. See FrankTown's site for walk-through nights.

On any drive, keep your lights on low beam, give driveways a wide berth, and pull completely over before you stop. The Nashville-area holiday lights calendar lists the rest of the season across the region.

Permanent roofline lighting for Brentwood homes

Our installers put permanent LED lights in a track tucked under the eave, where they stay all year and run from an app. For Christmas, set them to red and green. For luminaries night, schedule them to come on at dusk, and they are lit before the first candle goes out on the curb.

At 6 to 12 hours a day, the system works out to about 10 to 20 years. Plan on 8 to 10 hours for the install, and coverage comes from the manufacturer's 5-year product warranty and our installers' workmanship warranty.
