Permanent Lighting in Spring Hill, TN

Permanent Lighting Solutions sends our installers to mount year-round LED roofline lighting in Spring Hill, the Maury and Williamson County city south of Nashville, and it runs on a sunset schedule set once in the app.

The track sits low under the eave, set there by licensed, insured and certified installers. Once it is on, your phone decides the color: warm white for a quiet evening, red and green for parade week.

Newer and older Spring Hill houses

Spring Hill sits in two counties at once, Maury and Williamson, and covers about 28.7 square miles. The City's own history page counts 29,036 people in 2010, up 276 percent from 2000, and 40,436 in a 2018 special census. The same page says industry turned the farming town into a manufacturing one.

Whether the house is among the newest on its street or one of the older homes, the track is cut to the roofline already there. The lit run turns each gable and corner and carries on to the far end, and with the lights off you have to look to find the track. More finished rooflines are in the gallery.

The town's history is still on view. Spring Hill was the prelude to the Battle of Franklin: Confederate and Union armies converged here on November 29, 1864. The City now looks after Rippa Villa, an antebellum plantation house from the 1850s on the Maury County side, with 98.4 acres of park around it since the City accepted the donation in May 2017.

December 2026

Spring Hill's 2026: Santa's Mailbox and a parade

Two Spring Hill dates are confirmed for 2026, both from the City of Spring Hill's own events calendar.

  • Santa's Mailbox Arrives: Tuesday, December 1, at noon, at the Spring Hill Public Library on Kedron Parkway. The listing says nothing more, so we say nothing more.

  • Christmas Parade on Main Street: Saturday, December 12, at 5:00 pm. The listing gives no route and no rain date, so we show neither.

The rest of the area is on our 2026 holiday lights calendar.

Our Spring Hill holiday lights guide has the 2026 parade date and the light shows a short drive away.

Planning an install around parade day

Parade day is the date to build around. A roofline finished by Friday, December 11 is lit for the Saturday parade. With a 5:00 pm start the crowd reaches Main Street after dark, since the sun sets at about 4:35 pm that day, and a sunset schedule has the house glowing before anyone is home to flip a switch.

Your property and the weather set the install date, not the parade. Name the evening you are working toward and the installers plan backward from it with you. Starting early gives a wet week room to pass.

The December setting

Spring Hill Christmas on one sunset schedule

In Spring Hill the roofline lights that run all year take on a December scene at Christmas. Holiday colors are built into the controller, and any zone can be set by hand from your phone when you want something else. Choose red and green, or set one sunset schedule and leave it alone all season. Nothing has to go up in November or come down in January.

Weighing permanent against hanging lights every winter? That comparison has its own page.

Past the main roof

Spring Hill patios and porches after dark

Permanent outdoor lighting in Spring Hill is not limited to the main roof. A covered patio, a porch and a detached garage each have a roof edge, and the channel runs along every one of them back to a single controller.

Zones make that useful. The porch can stay warm white while the gables take a color, or the front of the house can be lit while the back stays dark. Where each zone starts and stops is settled when the system is laid out.

The channel goes on the fascia or under the soffit, and nothing is driven through the gutter or the roof surface, so by day the face of the house stays clear. Install day for an average house takes 8 to 10 hours, with the size of the roofline doing most of the moving, and every foot is measured before the estimate is written. Inside the channel the lights sit out of the water running off the roof. Outside testing backs the UL rating on each part, and the light is rated for about 50,000 hours. A storm on the way is no reason to take them down. The system page has the hardware close up. For upkeep see the care page; the pricing page gives the starting point of a system.

After the parade

One install for every season

Halloween gets orange, the Fourth gets red, white and blue, and game day gets your team's colors. St Patrick's, Easter, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, New Year's and Valentine's are more settings on the same channel, so once Christmas comes down the lights still have somewhere to go.

It changes in a few seconds from your phone, and a schedule set on install day lets the controller run it each night. There is nothing new to buy and nothing to hang. Before you decide, try some presets or see how app control works.
